Training pathway

Prof Sathorn completed his initial dental degree in Thailand (DDS) before moving to Australia for postgraduate study. He completed a Graduate Diploma in Dentistry, then a specialist Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry (DClinDent) in Endodontics at the University of Melbourne — one of the most rigorous specialist endodontic programmes in the country.

Alongside his clinical doctorate, he completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the University of Melbourne, which established him as both a practising specialist and a disciplined researcher. He holds Membership of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in Endodontics (MRACDS Endo), the recognised specialist qualification in this field.
